Merry Christmas, and finishing up some gifts!
Hooray! I finished another of these cuddle blankets for my youngest daughter-now just need to wrap it and put it under the tree. Finally, some handmade blankets for my own house-although they don't really belong to me! I used the Happy Go Lucky line from Bonnie and Camille, and bought the fabric from an online shop in PEI called Ella's Cottage.
All this Christmas movie watching has given me extra knitting time. I finished this teal cowl last night. It's so pretty in person, it has some color variations in the wool, so soft and cozy.
Well, this may well be the last post until Christmas. I have some other project ideas in mind, but let's be realistic-this house needs some cleaning and I need to cook some food. Merry Christmas all!

Teacher's gift
I had a few orders for some list takers/passport wallets so I decided to make one for Charlotte's teacher as well (the teal/chartreuse damask). I love these wallets to give as gifts, and mine served me very well to hold travel documents on our family trip this summer.
The girls have a birthday party to go to on Saturday, so I made this card for the birthday girl. Turned out super cute, I love that coastal cabana color that Stampin Up! has out this year-new favorite!

Handmade gift..
Hooray for snow days! I just finished this chenille blanket for my oldest daughter. I used a lot of the Nordika line by Jeni Baker. Next up, a blanket for my youngest daughter, and I need to make a few passport wallets/list takers this week as well. I love giving handmade for Christmas-but time is running out!!

Cozy knit cowl for -20C!!!
It is so cold here this last week or so. And tomorrow we are expecting our first real storm of the season; 20-30 cm of snow!! Better than having a green Christmas like we have the last few years though.
I finished up this tweed cowl last night-it will be warming up a friend in PEI soon. Happy Saturday all!!

Checking in....
This poor, neglected blog! Since I started my Facebook page, I find that I update that page and forget to post on here. Anyhow, a few more cozy, flannel scarves that I sewed last week.
And this is a large chenille blanket which is a gift for my sister-in-law. It finishes at 56x56 and has white dot chenille on the back. Perfect for a little snuggle on the couch.
I just love the flower fabric on the bottom right, and so chose the coordinating colors from there.
I'm linking up to The Needle and Thread Network today-feels like forever since I've done that!

Sew Sisters Blogathon!
For those of you visiting blogs from the Maritimes today, I'm Jeanette and have been blogging here for about 6 years. It started off as a place to share my paper crafts, but then I returned to my first love of fabric around 4 years ago. Now, I'm busy doing custom sewing orders and craft fairs and I love it! The best one is coming up this weekend in Halifax at the St. Mary's Boat Club, you can check it out at ECMC.
Yesterday, I finished up some more craft fair sewing- these cute drawstring bags.
This year, I've made only a few quilts. They now live in Cape Breton, and belong to a photographer, which means I get to see them in action on her family photo shoots!
This one, I made with my Mom as a Christmas gift to my nephew.
This really cute toadstool quilt was for a friend who had a spring baby. She had a girl, but at the time I made it neutral for either a girl or a boy!
Almost forgot to show these cute patchwork zippered pouches I made yesterday too-
Have fun visiting all the Canadian Bloggers- I "met" a lot of new people when I was host last year and I love seeing everyone's beautiful quilting/sewing. Thanks for visiting!

Now for the babies....
Last time, I posted a cuddle blanket for grown ups-now it's all about the babies! Only 9 days to finish prepping for the fair-now I'm getting nervous!
I ordered fabric from Warp and Weft last week and made these 3 gorgeous blankets. Well, 2 of the hedgehog since it's just so cute. I've had my eye on the bunny fabric for a long time, and since I was out of linen fabric I thought I would place an order for linen, and some fun woodland prints!
This fabric was found at a local quilt shop called Atlantic Fabrics. I'm really in love with that raccoon fabric- really cute.
And this is the last of my beloved toadstool fabric. I've made a quilt, crayon wallets, drawstring bags and now this blanket. I'm said to say, it is all used up and I no longer have any in my stash...

Cuddle blanket for grown-ups!
I'm so happy we live in a place that offers seasons!! Then we get to cuddle up with warm blankets on the couch-just finished this lovely one as part of a large order. This is the 3rd one finished-one more to complete.
The flowered fabric in this blanket is from Jeni Baker's Nordika line. I love the mint background one, I wish I had ordered more!!

Notebooks/passport holders
So, the fair last weekend went really well-I sold lots of scarves and chenille blankets. Even a quilt!! That is a first for me at a craft show, so I was very pleased about that. Now, the prep begins again for the next one. I will be making a variety of projects, and am now impatiently waiting for my next order of Linen fabric to arrive so I can make some more of these list takers-they are quite popular. Hope everyone has a great weekend!
