Time is ticking away...

Pin ItI finished up an order for some drawstring bags today and also decided to close for custom orders until January.  I'm finding it hard to balance orders, prep for upcoming fairs, and still have a life!!  Anyhow, I'm loving these owls-I bought the pattern from Jeni at In Color Order ages ago and I still enjoy making these bags.

One more bag....

Pin ItFinished another order today-she wanted a woodland theme for her little boy to pack his toys in that he takes in the car with him.  I thought this fit the theme perfectly.  This is quite large, I'm sure he'll be able to fit lots of goodies in there to keep him occupied on road trips!

Large Drawstring bags

Pin ItI used the pattern I bought from In Color Order to make a two of the artist sized drawstring bags.  These are part of a custom order and she wants to use them to help organize items in her luggage.  I used these awesome fabrics by Joel Dewberry, and on the inside put a heavier weight cotton/canvas so they would be a bit stronger.  I love these colors-going to be hard to part with them!!

Linking up to Quiltstory and I have to say today.

On the home stretch.....

This is the final push for fair items.  I made this chenille blanket yesterday with this cute boy fabric.

Pin ItThese drawstring bags were requested by a local speech therapist that she will use during her sessions.  I tried to make them a little more gender neutral.
And, I also made this basket yesterday as my donation to the ECMC fair raffle.  Most of the vendors have donated items to put in the basket, tickets will be sold and 100% of the money will go to Adsum house which is a local women's shelter.

That is what I have to share today on this rainy Wednesday.  Fingers crossed for sunshine on Sunday!!!

Special Order

Pin ItThis week I made 10 drawstring bags from the pattern I bought from Jeni at In Color Order.  It's the snack size bag, just the right size for the ECMC Mom who requested them!  She is Mandy from HomeGrownGoods and she makes homemade play-doh, homemade sidewalk chalk and crayons that she molds into really cool shapes like robots, lego pieces (that actually click together) and little butterflies and boats etc.  She plans on having these at the fair filled up with her awesome activities for kids.

Today, I'm finishing up some heat/therapy bags, so may be back later for another post!!  Any I'm anxiously waiting for another delivery of chevron fabric.....

Last minute gifts

I made these 2 drawstring bags for my Mom's knitting projects, using Jeni's pdf pattern from In Color Order.  I intended on only making one, but accidently used the pattern with the smaller measurements and I felt it wasn't quite large enough for the hats that she likes to make.  Anyhow, she always mentioned that she loved these little bags, so thought she deserved a couple of her own!

Drawstring bags

Yep, still making inventory for the show on Sunday.  I used Jeni's pdf pattern from In Color Order for the bags and I've restocked some girl crayon wallets (pdf pattern courtesy of JCasa hanmade).  I'll be working on cards the rest of the week.  Linking up to The Needle and Thread Network and Quiltstory today!

Martian Bags!

I made a couple of drawstring bags today. I had a request for a boy themed bag, and when I saw these cute little martians I knew this was perfect! He's 5 years old, so I'm thinking he's going to like it!

I used Jeni's drawstring bag pattern for both of these.

Project size bag

Claire absolutely loved this Heather Bailey fabric when she saw it, so I made her the project size drawstring bag for her Girl Guide items. They have a book, notepad, her scarf and sash that need to make it to the meeting every week, so now we are a little more organized! I love the bright colors in this one, finished height is around 13 inches.

Today is Sew Modern Monday at Canoe Ridge Creations, I'll be linking over there so go take a peek at all the wonderful sewing!

Friday sewing

One of the teacher's at school requested a larger version of the drawstring bag I made for Charlotte, so last night I bought Jeni's pattern for her multi size bags , and made this. It is quite large, about 16 inches high so I'm hoping this is a good size for her knitting projects. Now, off to make a smaller one for Claire's girl guide books.
