Blendabilities markers

Today is a weird weather day-a bit rainy, very muggy; I feel like a thunderstorm is necessary to clear the air.  So, I figured it would be the perfect time to make a few cards in my basement studio where it is nice and cool.
This one if for my Mom who turns 80 later this month!!!

This cute bird and leaf stamp is from Purple Onion Designs-the Stacey Yacula collection.  Love these stamps.

These stamps are both Stampin Up!  The hardwood stamp is new, and I love how it looks like barn board (which I am currently obsessed with).

These lollipop flowers are also from Purple Onion Designs.
I first started this blog to share my love of stamping and scrapbooking, and it slowly morphed into a sewing blog.  I have to admit, it felt great to be using my stamps again-maybe I'll be inspired to make a few more cards later this evening.

Teacher's gift

I had a few orders for some list takers/passport wallets so I decided to make one for Charlotte's teacher as well (the teal/chartreuse damask).  I love these wallets to give as gifts, and mine served me very well to hold travel documents on our family trip this summer.

Pin ItThe girls have a birthday party to go to on Saturday, so I made this card for the birthday girl.  Turned out super cute, I love that coastal cabana color that Stampin Up! has out this year-new favorite!

A few cards

Pin ItI made a few cards today for the first time in a long time!!  I miss stamping-once all my sewing is done, I really need to get back at it.  These cards took me far to long to come up with-and I had help from Pinterest!!!  Anyhow, all stamps are by Stampin Up!  I especially love the coffee cups.

Birthday cards for Men!

Pin ItI had two birthdays to make cards for this month-one for my father and one for my brother-in-law.  It's not always easy coming up with masculine birthday cards to make, but in the end, I'm happy with these.  All stamps are Stampin Up!
This card is for my Dad.
And this one for my brother-in-law who will turn 40 this month!  Hope everyone is staying dry on this rainy day!!

Still happily coloring some cards-made a set of cards for expecting Mom's today.
Also colored these images-the ladybug girl is from Stamping Bella and the bunny is from Purple Onions Designs.
Finished off some more scarves-buttercup yellow and a large scale black chevron.

For the Boys!

Pin ItWhile I was in Glasgow, I stopped into an artists paper shop and picked up some white cardstock that is very heavy and smooth, and works with different inks/pencils etc.  I've been searching for a paper that won't bleed color while I'm using my American Crafts Alcohol markers-and I found it!!  I love this paper, spent all yesterday afternoon coloring these images (had a bit of a thunderstorm) and found that the markers did not bleed outside the image at all and the colors blended well too.  My only regret-that I bought the smaller pack of paper instead of the large!

Thank you/Merci Teachers!!

Pin ItWell, it is very hard to believe that another school year is pretty much over!!  I feel like the last 2 months especially have gone by fast.  This morning, I was making some cards for my kids teacher's.  One for the English teacher, and 2 the same for the homeroom French teachers.  All product is SU!, I'm loving the washi tape addition this year.  So easy to work with and I really like the colors.  Hope everyone is having a great Sunday!

Gift set and a new scarf!

I'm almost finished of my custom orders for scarves.  This one is a dark gray jersey with tiny silver pin dots.  It is very beautiful and soft, she wanted it to be double wide so it is very full.  I love it!!
Pin ItI've started making gifts for the teachers at my girls school.  Above is a set of 5 cards that I will package in a handmade box.  Most supplies are Stampin Up! with the exception of the enamel dots which are My Mind's Eye.
This is one of the new in colors by Stampin Up!  It's Coastal Cabana, so lovely.  Makes me think of summer, which I sincerely hope will show up one of these days.  My girls go to a Francophone school, so the I used a French script background stamp, and just left each card blank inside.

Almost forgot- I also made 4 of these rainbow chevron scarves, which are so pretty!!
And this is a soft, wide striped gray and white fabric.  It's also a double wide scarf, as I was finding that certain types of fabric weren't hanging as full as I would have liked them too.

Pin ItA few more cards to add to my stash.  I made more than one of each, my newest stamp set is the Postage Due set from Stampin Up!  I inked the stamp in crumb cake first, then used different markers to add color to certain areas of the stamp.  I'm loving the die-cut butterflies (thanks Suzanne for helping cut them out).  The bottom photo is another paper covered journal.  I think those could become highly addictive....But really, I'm thinking of gifts for my daughters friends for birthdays etc.  Super cute, and would be easy to personalize.

Pin ItI pinned a card similar to these the other day, and decided to make them myself.  So cute, the one on the left is for a friend of my daughter's.  My girls go to a Francophone school, so her little friend is French.  All stamps, die cuts, embossing folder and stamps are from Stampin Up!

Cards today

Pin ItThis is a new stamp that I just ordered from Stampin Up!  It's a background stamp called Pleasant Poppies, and is quite a pretty stamp once colored.  This card will soon be on it's way to my Aunt who lives in Montreal.  She shares the same birthday as my oldest daughter!
Then, I made one more set of notecards today.  The stamps are all Stampin Up! as well as the ink, although mainly retired colors-Peach Parfait, Poppy Parade and Tangerine Tango (which is still current).  I'm enjoying making cards again, think I will concentrate a bit more on the paper side of things for my next craft show!

15 minute Friday

Pin ItWhat do you do with 15 minutes of craft time?  Well, I was going to iron the backing for my quilt, but when I plugged in the iron, discovered it was totally dead!  Will have to replace it tomorrow.  So, I still wanted to get my crafty fix for the day, and have wanted to make a few sets of note cards for my stash.  I used this set from Stampin Up! and made 4 matching cards, packaged them together with envelopes with some awesome orange bakers twine.
I did 2 of each in different colors.  I think I will make a few different styles for my upcoming craft fairs.  I have always been a sucker for stationary, even as a young girl, I loved going to the local office supply store to look at all the different papers and pens-and there wasn't even any glitter sold there!
Anyhow, hope everyone has a great weekend!!

Love cards

Pin ItMy oldest daughter wanted to make some special Valentines Day cards for her grandparents, and this is what we came up with during yesterdays snowstorm.  They turned out so cute that I wanted to share them on my blog, I think she did a great job.  She must get her craftiness from her father...
