Done!

I think I'm done. I hope I am anyway. I haven't photographed all my cards, but most of them. I love the top one, it's for my parents and I used Outline posy stamps and colored them like a poinsettia. Then added gold liquid pearls and red stickles, (everything is better with glitter).

Some knitting for Christmas

I've been trying to figure out how to make a cowl with the yarn in my stash. After a few tries, I decided on a seed stitch, large circular needles and around 120 stitches. Either the blue or the purple will be a Christmas gift, I just don't know which one I want to give and which one I want to keep! Maybe I'll let the recipient choose!

My girlies are sewing too...

With all the ornament making, my 2 girls wanted to sew some on their own too! The birds are by my 9 year old, and the bell by my 6 year old. They received very little help from Mom at all!

Stained glass

This card will be mailed today to one of my sisters. I used a peel off sticker, then colored in with sakura gelly roll pens. It's quite sparkly in real life, and I find it looks like a stained glass window. Just a few more to do and I'm finished!

A few more ornaments...

We made more ornaments today. The owl is for a friend's tree, the penguin is for us! I found the penguin tutorial on a blog called Clover and Violet's blog-super cute. My daughter has been making little birds, I'll post those when they are all done.

King of the Wild Things....

Still trying to finish up Christmas cards! I love this stamp, I think he's so cute, it's a stamping bella image. The die-cut snowflakes are from Stampin Up! I used prismacolor pencils to color and the edge is distressed in memento Desert Sand.

Teacher's cards

Tomorrow is the last day of school before Christmas vacation, so I made 2 cards for the girls teachers today. They each told me what image they thought their teacher would like last night and were pleased with the results today! The snowman is stamping bella, the trees are artful stamper. I used kiwi glitter ritz on the matt of the tree card.

Owl pouch

I made this pouch this morning, it was ordered by a friend to be a Christmas gift for her daughter, who loves owls! Hope she's happy Christmas morning.

I'm linking this to The Magic Onions for Fridays Nature table.

Bad Kitty Card

I think this stamp is so cute-maybe because I have 2 cats that used to be a little naughty. Now they are just old and sooky. Anyhow, I'm slowly getting through the pile of cards I need to make. Off to the mailbox shortly!

Emmeline Apron

I finished an apron last night that will be given as a Christmas gift (nothing like waiting until the last minute-it was ordered in the summer!). Anyhow, I'll drop it off today, hope the recipient likes the colors. I have to say, my favorite side is the blue, I love the little apricot flower.

Glitter Ornaments

After school, we made a few glitter ornaments for our tree (and maybe a few gifts!). These are so easy, just put pledge floor finish in the glass ball, drain out the excess, dump in the glitter and shake to cover the entire inside of the ball. And voila- a beautiful set of ornaments!

Snow Globes

So, last night I was roaming around on the internet and found a photo of some lovely " snow globes" on Pinterest. The original blog post can be found here. Today, I went to the craft store and picked up the jars, the trees, snowmen and penguins. The deer and racoon are animals from our Playmobil collection. For the snow I used sugar. Super cute in person, and the girls had fun making the little scenes inside.

I found a new blog called the Magic Onions (just purchased from her Etsy shop). Really cute needle felting, waiting on some acorns for my tree!

Christmas Cards from class

I had a mini stamp-a-stack on Friday and we made 12 cards. We also made the stocking card, and a snowflake card posted earlier. It was a fun day, and I just want to say thank you to all who came.

The craft fair in Musquodoboit went well this weekend. Now, I can just work on some smaller items I need to make for Christmas, all the craft fair prep is done for another year!!

Snack bags

I know I said I was done with the craft fair sewing, but then I had all this cute fabric and pink, green, and blue lining for these adorable snack bags so I just had to make them. And now, I'm finished.

All ready for the fair

Okay, I think I'm done. I made 24 bibs last night, a few more blankets and this morning ironed everything again. I may make a few more snack bags, but other than that I'm finished. Now, just to finish cutting paper for my 2 card classes on Friday and boy, that basement floor needs to be vacuumed! I think I should book a massage for next week or I'm going to look like the hunchback of Notre Dame......

Stitched Stockings

I just received the Stampin Up! Stitched stockings and matching punch set and wanted to give it a try for my upcoming class next Friday. I have 5 other cards that we will do as well, but I'll keep those a secret until everyone has come and made their cards. Paper is espresso, teal and vanilla.

Chenille blankies for the fair

Today, I made a few chenille blankets for the upcoming craft show in Musquodoboit. I love this vibrant blue color of chenille, much more my style than pastel colors!! I'm linking this to WIP at Freshly Pieced today, especially since my sewing room floor is full of fabric cut and waiting to be sewed!!

Crayon Wallets

I know I haven't posted in a week, but I really still have been sewing! I registered for another craft show, this time in Middle Musquodoboit, Dec 3rd and 4th. I decided to make some crayon wallets to sell for the first time and see what the response is. I know any child that I've given one to loves them. I had purchased the pdf pattern last year from JCasa handmade, the only thing I changed is the velcro closure instead of the elastic and button.

Owl ornaments

So after a boring day of decluttering the house, I decided to do something fun with the girls when they got home from school. We pulled out the felt and got to work on these cute owls. The colors on the green one were chosen by Charlotte, and the red by Claire. You can find the instructions for these little guys right here.

Before and After

We were doing some reorganizing at my parents' house on the weekend, and she was getting rid of this little wooden box. I thought it may be good for a display item.

So, I painted it a grayish-blue color and discovered it holds crayon wallets perfectly!

Latte Bella

I was in the mood to make one more card this morning, and I just love this image by Stamping Bella. There really is something special about enjoying a really good cup of coffee. Anyhow, I think there will be more cards featured on this blog from here until Christmas, I must get going on making my Christmas cards. I can't believe it's the 2nd week of November already!

Catching up on cards today

It seems like it's been a long time since I've made any amount of cards, so today I decided to spend my afternoon stamping. The top card I will post in this week's Bellarific Friday at Stamping Bella (Emily's theme is holiday cards this week, and I've always loved the minty coffee stamp).
Maybe I'll have more to share later, but hard to say, kids will be home soon!
