Okay, I think I'm done. I made 24 bibs last night, a few more blankets and this morning ironed everything again. I may make a few more snack bags, but other than that I'm finished. Now, just to finish cutting paper for my 2 card classes on Friday and boy, that basement floor needs to be vacuumed! I think I should book a massage for next week or I'm going to look like the hunchback of Notre Dame......

Chenille blankies for the fair
Today, I made a few chenille blankets for the upcoming craft show in Musquodoboit. I love this vibrant blue color of chenille, much more my style than pastel colors!! I'm linking this to WIP at Freshly Pieced today, especially since my sewing room floor is full of fabric cut and waiting to be sewed!!

Crayon Wallets
I know I haven't posted in a week, but I really still have been sewing! I registered for another craft show, this time in Middle Musquodoboit, Dec 3rd and 4th. I decided to make some crayon wallets to sell for the first time and see what the response is. I know any child that I've given one to loves them. I had purchased the pdf pattern last year from JCasa handmade, the only thing I changed is the velcro closure instead of the elastic and button.

Owl ornaments
So after a boring day of decluttering the house, I decided to do something fun with the girls when they got home from school. We pulled out the felt and got to work on these cute owls. The colors on the green one were chosen by Charlotte, and the red by Claire. You can find the instructions for these little guys right here.

Latte Bella
I was in the mood to make one more card this morning, and I just love this image by Stamping Bella. There really is something special about enjoying a really good cup of coffee. Anyhow, I think there will be more cards featured on this blog from here until Christmas, I must get going on making my Christmas cards. I can't believe it's the 2nd week of November already!

Catching up on cards today
It seems like it's been a long time since I've made any amount of cards, so today I decided to spend my afternoon stamping. The top card I will post in this week's Bellarific Friday at Stamping Bella (Emily's theme is holiday cards this week, and I've always loved the minty coffee stamp).
Maybe I'll have more to share later, but hard to say, kids will be home soon!

Cheerful card
I made this card following the latest sketch on the Sweetest Thing blog. I love this little stamp, so cute. (SSSC 142)

Flannel quilt
I decided to share this quilt today. It is not a new quilt, in fact it will be 7 years old in January! But, it is special to me because when I had my 2nd daughter in January 2005, my mother came to help me. And, as you know, babies sleep a lot in the beginning so we got busy and made the top of this quilt together. We set up the sewing machine on the end of the dining room table and left it there for at least 2 weeks and anytime we had a chance, we'd sew some more squares together. I did send it out to be long-arm quilted however (and bound). I love putting this on the spare room bed in the fall, it makes the room look so cozy for guest.

One more quilt
I decided late on Saturday to make one more girly blanket for the show. There is a lot of gender neutral/boy blankets but I needed some pink. So here it is, pretty simple just cut 6x9 rectangles and pieced them together. The backing is really soft flannel. Most of the fabric is My Mind's Eye by Riley Blake. I quilted the top to the batting, then just sewed the backing on. This way I eliminated having to do a binding so it made the blanket quick to complete.
I'm linking this to sew modern monday today at Canoe Ridge Creations (see button on sidebar).

Craft show display
Burp cloths, flannel backing.
Lots of zippered pouches.
Lots of zippered pouches.
I bought this awesome handmade box at a store in Halifax called Rusty Hinges. I love this and look forward to adding to my collection of reclaimed wood products.
Well, here it is, the trial run of my craft fair table. My good friend Michelle helped me set it up. Anyhow, I wanted to take some photos (for memory when I'm actually at the fair next weekend) and also for critique-positive or negative- I'm a big girl, I can take it! Now off to a hockey game with the family....

Cute eyeglass/sunglass pouches
I'm still gearing up for the craft show I'm in on the Remembrance Day weekend in PEI. Today I made some eyeglass cases with some of my favorite fabrics and ric rac. I especially like the pink pompoms, I must find some more fabrics to match! There is ample room in the pouch, could be used for larger sunglasses as well. That's it for today!
