Sew Sisters Blogathon!
For those of you visiting blogs from the Maritimes today, I'm Jeanette and have been blogging here for about 6 years. It started off as a place to share my paper crafts, but then I returned to my first love of fabric around 4 years ago. Now, I'm busy doing custom sewing orders and craft fairs and I love it! The best one is coming up this weekend in Halifax at the St. Mary's Boat Club, you can check it out at ECMC.
Yesterday, I finished up some more craft fair sewing- these cute drawstring bags.
This year, I've made only a few quilts. They now live in Cape Breton, and belong to a photographer, which means I get to see them in action on her family photo shoots!
This one, I made with my Mom as a Christmas gift to my nephew.
This really cute toadstool quilt was for a friend who had a spring baby. She had a girl, but at the time I made it neutral for either a girl or a boy!
Almost forgot to show these cute patchwork zippered pouches I made yesterday too-
Have fun visiting all the Canadian Bloggers- I "met" a lot of new people when I was host last year and I love seeing everyone's beautiful quilting/sewing. Thanks for visiting!

Now for the babies....
Last time, I posted a cuddle blanket for grown ups-now it's all about the babies! Only 9 days to finish prepping for the fair-now I'm getting nervous!
I ordered fabric from Warp and Weft last week and made these 3 gorgeous blankets. Well, 2 of the hedgehog since it's just so cute. I've had my eye on the bunny fabric for a long time, and since I was out of linen fabric I thought I would place an order for linen, and some fun woodland prints!
This fabric was found at a local quilt shop called Atlantic Fabrics. I'm really in love with that raccoon fabric- really cute.
And this is the last of my beloved toadstool fabric. I've made a quilt, crayon wallets, drawstring bags and now this blanket. I'm said to say, it is all used up and I no longer have any in my stash...

Cuddle blanket for grown-ups!
I'm so happy we live in a place that offers seasons!! Then we get to cuddle up with warm blankets on the couch-just finished this lovely one as part of a large order. This is the 3rd one finished-one more to complete.
The flowered fabric in this blanket is from Jeni Baker's Nordika line. I love the mint background one, I wish I had ordered more!!

Notebooks/passport holders
So, the fair last weekend went really well-I sold lots of scarves and chenille blankets. Even a quilt!! That is a first for me at a craft show, so I was very pleased about that. Now, the prep begins again for the next one. I will be making a variety of projects, and am now impatiently waiting for my next order of Linen fabric to arrive so I can make some more of these list takers-they are quite popular. Hope everyone has a great weekend!
