We are back from our adventure in Germany and Scotland! So much fun, lots of travelling, and now thankful to be home in our own beds. Here are my girls on a pedestrian street in Edinburgh.
From the top of the camera obscura building in Edinburgh.
The castle at the end of the Loch Ness tour-Urquhart I think?
Ha! She posed so pretty and didn't know what he was doing behind her.
Yikes, that's a lot of different plaids in one outfit!!
The view from our B&B on the Isle of Skye-for sure our favorite stop of the tour.
Loved these flowers in the garden area of Dunvegan Castle.
This is the outside of Dunvegan. The castle is 800 years old and is still used by the family-lots of artifacts there from Flora MacDonald and Bonnie Prince Charlie.
Awesome phone booths all over Scotland-but don't open them up in the city-they smell really bad.
Portree harbour in Skye.
Caught a Pipe Band performance in Skye as well.
Loved this little shop as we waited for the ferry to take us to Mallaig. He owns two large parrots that loved to talk and whistle at the customers-he is a wonderful photographer.
Anyhow, I could share the other 300 photos I took, but that would be overkill. Suffice it to say our vacation was fantastic, but now we are happy to be home in our own beds and home cooked meals.

The trip of a lifetime!
That view IS absolutely beautiful. What fantastic buildings and scenes, this is my idea of a holiday! Funny, the countries I'd like to take my 2 boys are Germany & Scotland for the family history.
Looks like you had an awesome time. Hope you're all rested up again and cherishing the memories. Did you make it to the Berlin zoo after all? :)
I've really been looking forward to hearing how the trip went and it certainly looks like you enjoyed it! Glad to hear you appreciated the beauty of Skye as much as we did and that you found Grumpy George on the quay! He's a real local tourist attraction! :-)
