Glitter Ritz & peel-offs

I had a fun afternoon today-all play and no housework make me a very happy girl! I used a bunch of stuff I bought at Kelly's on the weekend, the lacey spellbinder, peel-off sticky shapes (the trees) and glitter ritz. Even the green flower came from her store. So pretty in real life, I'm loving the glitter!

For Michelle......

I was at work yesterday, and Michelle informed me that I wasn't updating my blog enough!! So last night I made a card, just for her! I used a Magenta stamp that I just bought at My Stamping Studio, so pretty all covered in Glitter Ritz. I know the sparkle is hard to see in the photo, but the image is covered in cool highlights glitter.

Kelly's Birthday card

The grand opening at My Stamping Studio went well yesterday. We did alot of make and takes, and almost everyone brought Kelly a birthday card to celebrate her birthday as well. Good luck to everyone, there were many door prizes available too!!

This card uses a stamp by Magenta, the paper is lemonade by Basic Grey and the cardstock is SU!.

Grand opening

My Stamping Studio is having a grand opening on Saturday, Sept. 25th from 10-2pm. I'll be there doing the make-n-take card with anyone who wants to participate, and Kelly will be running specials, door prizes and giveaways at the store all day. Click on the link to the right for directions, it's going to be a great day to celebrate her store! (and her birthday, if you bring her a birthday card, it will go in a draw as well!)

Dad's birthday card

Here is a birthday card I will be mailing today for my father. I love the paper by Magenta (Kelly carries it at My Stamping Studio). It is so heavy, almost like cardstock. Anyhow, I used a retired SU! stamp for the image and used prismacolors for coloring. The green outline around the basket is pear ink by Memento.

Charlotte skiing at Martock

Another layout with the I believe paper by MME. I cut out the mitts with my slice machine and used some puffy thickers from thickers for the title. 2 layouts in the same weekend, I better check my temperature, something must be up!!!

Pink Cat Studio stamps

Another sample from the I Believe paper by My Mind's Eye. And I love this little penguin by Pink Cat Studio. So cute and fun to color in the candy cane, lots of stickles on the white part of the candy cane, and liquid appliqué for the penguins hat. A little scary to be making Christmas cards already though!

Christmas Eve 2009

This is what the girls leave Santa every year, an apple, a cookie, choc. milk and enough carrots for EACH reindeer!! I used all My Mind's Eye paper and die-cuts for this layout. Sorry for the scan, the colors are so much nicer in person, but for some reason if there is any dimension at all to the layout, the scanner distorts the image!

Lost and Found Collection

I bought these beautiful My Mind's Eye papers from Kelly at My Stamping Studio the other day, I had a vision of framing them as a little gift for my sister who is moving into a new house. Hope she likes how it turned out-and doesn't look at my blog for the next little while!

Chenille Blankets

Here's something else I've been doing this summer-making these chenille/cotton or flannel blankets that are the perfect size for the stroller, car seat or wrapping up a newborn in the crib. And the chenille is so soft, I love it! The fabric is so beautiful, it's hard to choose what to leave behind at the store! Some of this I purchased on our trip to the States this summer. I'm planning on selling these at the craft show in November in PEI.

Baboo's Owl

It is so dang hot here today, I decided to hide in the basement and make a card for Bellarific Friday, the theme is to use an animal. I know this is technically a bird, but that counts right?
