We have a birthday party to go to tomorrow before the Halloween festivities begin. Of course it's a Halloween party so I wanted to make a halloween card for her birthday. This is the new set by Stampin Up! called greeting card kids, I used the SU! markers to color her and orange stickles on the pumpkin.

Love the foil paper embossed with the snowflakes, the details of the folder show up so well on the foil paper. And gotta love my new snowflake die cut, I used a paper weight shimmery vanilla color for the snowflake this time.

I love all the glitter on this card. I cut the scallop circle from glittered paper, which gave Claire the idea to make her own glittered paper with sookwang tape and glitter ritz. Then, we used a die cut and the cuttlebug to cut the flower shape-awesome way to make your own embellishments!
This little sundae stamp by Taylored Expressions is so cute. I used SU! markers to color it, then liquid glue and glitter ritz for the ice cream. The cherry is red, then red spica pen for sparkle and glossy effects on top. Looks great in real life!

Thought I would make a few masculine cards for a change, I bought this stamp with my father in law in mind b/c he loves to fish! It's from Stamping Bella, I put glossy effects on his boots so in real life, they look and feel like rubber boots.

Kelly gave me this cute little stamp by Pink Cat Studio to work with this month. I'll make 3 or more cards with it but this is the first. I love her little muff-I put white applique on it to make it look furry. And the new lacey nestabilities are lovely too. Hard to tell by the photo, but I put sookwang tape on the sentiment and then the cool highlights glitter on top. I can't believe it's been 10 days since my last post! Too much sewing right now I guess...

I finished another quilt last night, just had to slipstitch the binding (which was easily done while watching Grey's Anatomy!). Anyhow, first time piecing pinwheels, I think it's cute. The original pattern didn't have the sashing between so I added that. I'm glad I did, it just didn't look right to me without separating the blocks. Hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving weekend!

This card uses all kinds of dies from SU! (which I now realize I don't use enough!) and my girls made a beautiful bouquet for their grandmother. I'll mail it today. I'm so proud of how they made the flowers and butterflies. Looks great ladies!
