Somebody stop me.....

Pin ItI just can't seem to stop myself from making these scarves-I mean I seriously have at least 50 in a bin in my craft room just waiting for the November fairs to start! Well, if they don't sell, I'm going to have some awesome accessories to wear this winter!!

Happy Friday!

Fall Plaids

Pin ItOn the advice of my fashionista sister, I've made a few plaid infinity scarves.  The response on my Facebook page has been very positive, so I guess another trip to the fabric shop is in order!  These are very cozy, and warm considering that it has gotten chilly here in the last few days!

Working away...

Chalkboard wallet that I made yesterday-needs to be adjusted slightly.  I think next time I will make the fabric wallet larger so I have room to topstitch instead of slipstitching the opening closed.
Pin ItSome fluffy, warm thrum mitts for the upcoming winter!  These were pre-ordered; so 2 pairs down, 3 to go!!

Birthday cards for Men!

Pin ItI had two birthdays to make cards for this month-one for my father and one for my brother-in-law.  It's not always easy coming up with masculine birthday cards to make, but in the end, I'm happy with these.  All stamps are Stampin Up!
This card is for my Dad.
And this one for my brother-in-law who will turn 40 this month!  Hope everyone is staying dry on this rainy day!!

Rainbow Square Quilt Love!

I had a custom order for a baby quilt and was absolutely dying to use this pattern by Allison Harris.  I bought her book Simply Modern a few months ago and this one caught my eye right away.  I love this-may have to make this pattern again.  So fun, and bright and baby neutral.
Here is the back.  It was ordered by a wonderful photographer in Cape Breton (Shoshanna Fraser) and I thought she could use the reverse of the quilt for newborn shots if I kept it pretty simple but with a splash of patterned fabric.  I took the leftover strips and pieced the binding as well.
Pin ItFirst day of school for my girls, they are happy with their classes, finished quilt, sun is out and just had my coffee.  Good day thus far.

A special gift..

My girls and I visited my family this week in PEI, to celebrate the last long weekend of summer, and also to help my Mom quilt a gift for her grandson,(my nephew) Ryan.  We chose the fabrics together over the winter, and she made the top.  I went home to help baste, quilt, and sew on the binding.  I'm really happy with the colors-he's 15 and so more of a masculine quilt than a  boyish one.  I spoke with Mom today and she has the entire binding slipstitched already!
Pin ItWe took the girls to the Exhibition as well in Abrams Village- I thought this flower arrangement was so beautiful and colorful that I wanted to share it with you!  Hope everyone enjoyed their last long weekend of summer.
