Divided Basket

I have been making fabric baskets for a little while now, and when I saw that Anna from Noodlehead had a pattern for sale for a divided one I thought I would give it a try.  Yesterday, I finally made it.  Great pattern, but I bought super heavy weight interfacing since I wanted it to be really sturdy, but that proved a little difficult to sew with!

Pin ItI pinned a card similar to these the other day, and decided to make them myself.  So cute, the one on the left is for a friend of my daughter's.  My girls go to a Francophone school, so her little friend is French.  All stamps, die cuts, embossing folder and stamps are from Stampin Up!

Marathon of sewing..

This week I've been trying to cross some items off my craft fair sewing list.  The above is an awesome tray full of reusable snack bags, they take way longer to make than they look!!  Anyhow, now have a stock of 30, one item crossed off!
Pin ItI was in PEI last week and had a chance to visit a beautiful shop in Charlottetown called Emmett and Ellie's.  The whole store is full of locally made products, and I found this awesome wood tray there (I think I need and intervention when it comes to buying wood trays and furniture, but I mean look at it, how could I leave it there?).  I plan on filling it with greeting cards but for now have the list takers there that I made this week as well.

The fair is on April 28th at the St. Mary's Boat club in Halifax (9-3).  Hope to see some of you local readers there!

This one is for me!

Pin ItI bought some lovely cream Eco Wool at LK yarns last week and made this cowl with it.  I used the Gap Tastic Cowl pattern found on Ravelry, but just made it 8 inches instead of 15 inches wide.  I'm pretty short, so thought the extra big cowl might look a little funny on me.  Just in time for a new scarf, today was a snow day and the temperature has been really cold!!  Linking today to The Needle and Thread Network.

 Grayscale Chevron

 Eggplant and White Chevron
Pin ItRobin's Egg Blue
Last night I returned to sewing some infinity scarves.  These are the newest colors I have.  I love the eggplant one, and the tangerine is screaming summer-which I am definitely ready to see the sun again.  Today, it is peeking out for the first time in what feels like weeks!  Linking up to Show and Tell Tuesday with Randi at i have to say.

Custom bag

Pin ItSo, it's hard to photograph this, but I was asked to make a black messenger bag that would fit a musical instrument, laptop, and other smaller items.  It measures about 25 inches wide, so rather large!  I used the same black fabric for the inside as well, put a zippered pocket on the inside, a zippered pocket on the flap, as well as 2 pockets in the lining.  The back of the bag has one large pocket, and the strap is adjustable.  I learned lots of new things on this bag, as well as figuring out a pattern since I couldn't find any the size I needed.  Anyhow, hope this works out for the person who wants it!!
