Boy Gift Basket

My friend Michelle is going to a baby shower and requested a basket full of little boy things. So this week I've been working on the burp cloths, the bib and the large ribbon blankie for her. Today, children and hubby took 1/2 day off school to go skiing so I made the basket. I love the felt stars I appliqued on the front, looks cute in person.

Valentine Defined card

Another little card I made over the weekend using the new set Valentine Defined from the SU! occasions mini. The heart is punched from the new glitter paper in the mini also.

Eiffel tower card

I made this card for a little class I taught on Sunday. I used the new folder by SU! and the stamp set artistic etchings. Die-cut the flower and added liquid pearls to the center.

Art folio

Claire has a birthday party to go to on Saturday so I thought I would make her friend this art folio. I bought the pattern from Etsy, but the name of the creator escapes me right now. Anyhow, the little girl likes to draw, so the notepad is 8 x 5, and I included 6 gel pens with it. The other crayon wallet I make has a smaller notepad, 3 x 5 I think. Both would be easy travel with, this one a fair bit bigger though.

Owl crayon wallet

And here is one for a little girl. This owl fabric is so cute, and the little crocheted flower on the front is by Stampin up. I made my girls each one for xmas and they love them. Great for travelling.

More crayon wallets

I've been making some crayon wallets today-this one is for a friend's grandson. I made the star embellishment out of felt to cover up where I sewed the velcro on. I think it works well with the robot/spaceship theme.

Appley huggagbug

I used the SSSC99 for the sketch of this card. I love Sundays and seeing what the new sketch is so that I have something to follow when making a card. I used a Christy Croll image (sold at Stamping Bella) for the sketch, and colored her in with stampin up markers. Love putting rangers glossy accents on the apples-makes them look so real. Glitter ritz on her wings too.

Cute Pencil case

I made these pouches for the girls, Claire is using hers as a wallet, not sure what Charlotte wants to use hers for yet. I found a great tutorial on Little Big girl studio's blog. Great pictures and description-first time sewing in zippers-oh the possibilites are endless now....

Early Valentine's Day Card

Here is my entry for the SSSC98 challenge sketch. I used the tree from the new valentine defined set with Stampin Up, and the raccoon is from last year. The clouds and love you sentiment are rub ons from the new occasions mini 2011. The heart embellie is hand made here in Nova Scotia from My Little Bit of Whimsy.

Moda charm pack snuggly blankie

I had some free time this morning , Steve took the girls skiing so I wasted no time in going down to my sewing space and putting this little blanket together. I used green minky chenille for the back, and a charm pack for the squares on the front. Love the fabric, it's vibrant colors are wonderful in real life. For the stampers out there, I promise to do a card soon.

iphone pouch

My husband thought I was joking when I said I was going to make a pouch for my iphone (xmas present) but the joke is on him! He'll be jealous someday when my phone is in pristine condition and his is all scratched to bits!! Anyhow, used Amy Butler's lotus fabric line for this, some batting in between. An added bonus-I'll be able to find it quickly in the bottom of my purse.
