Flannel quilt

I decided to share this quilt today. It is not a new quilt, in fact it will be 7 years old in January! But, it is special to me because when I had my 2nd daughter in January 2005, my mother came to help me. And, as you know, babies sleep a lot in the beginning so we got busy and made the top of this quilt together. We set up the sewing machine on the end of the dining room table and left it there for at least 2 weeks and anytime we had a chance, we'd sew some more squares together. I did send it out to be long-arm quilted however (and bound). I love putting this on the spare room bed in the fall, it makes the room look so cozy for guest.

Linking this up to Quiltstory today.

I love that you did this with your mom. And what a great way to use it for guests!

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog and commenting on the Homemade Stockings. I love the fabric as well! They turned out great. Also, I love this quilt. Quilts are my favorite thing, but making them is very intimidating to me. Great job!

I love the look of this quilt and can only imagine how very cuddly it must be.

Cozy quilt! And an excellent reminder of that special time in your life. We received a flannel Christmas quilt as a wedding gift and I absolutely love bringing it out when winter comes!
