Tulip Quilt

I made this quilt about 10 years ago, BC (before children) while living in Alberta. There was a fabulous little quilt shop there, where I learned to quilt. I took many classes, and this tulip quilt was one of them. I believe the pattern is by the Buggy Barn, not positive though. It was the first quilt that I ever appliqued, and the whole thing is hand quilted, which took a long time, but is so beautiful in person. I still love this quilt after all these years, love the deep purple of the tulips, and the different shades of neutrals on the back. There was one fat quarter I used that was sparkly snowflakes, that one was my favorite. I am just now posting this quilt because I wanted to share it on the Bloggers Quilt Festival that Amy Ellis is hosting.

Oh my goodness!! This is impressive. I haven't tried hand quilting yet, but would like to some time in the future. You did such a fabulous job on this. I enjoyed the other items on your blog too...the cards and aprons are wonderful!

I wanted to cry when I saw this photo, as I was part of the tulip quilt creating class. The unfortunate part is that my quilt still isn't finished! I absolutely adore this quilt though and forgot how beautiful it really is. Perhaps this photo will inspire me! Love ya J!
