Loved this little shop as we waited for the ferry to take us to Mallaig. He owns two large parrots that loved to talk and whistle at the customers-he is a wonderful photographer.
Just finished off some more infinity scarves today-these are new fabrics to me so thought I would post them. I especially love the top photo-I may have to make a mint one and a navy polka dot for myself!! Linking up today to JAQS!
I used the pattern I bought from In Color Order to make a two of the artist sized drawstring bags. These are part of a custom order and she wants to use them to help organize items in her luggage. I used these awesome fabrics by Joel Dewberry, and on the inside put a heavier weight cotton/canvas so they would be a bit stronger. I love these colors-going to be hard to part with them!!
So beautiful in person, I finished up this coral infinity scarf and it is so soft. It's double width and hangs really full around the neck. I had ordered this a long time ago, and just found the fabric beneath my "to do" pile!! Sad to say such a pretty piece was forgotten about for a little while!!
So awesome, love these elephants. This is an order from a friend who wants to give it as a gift, and the expecting Mom doesn't know the gender. I thought this is perfectly gender neutral, I think I may have to order more of this fabric, it really is perfect. Also, I made a matching bib to go with the set. Getting my list whittled down bit by bit!!
Some of you may recognize this quilt from one I did last year, I had a photographer request the same quilt to use for her baby shoots. I made it a square instead of a rectangle as I think that would be better to sit the baby in the middle for a photo. This is so fun and bright, and I think it's a wonderful idea to use this as a prop. I have a decent size custom order list to work through right now, so will be busy for a little while completing it. I do plan on taking a sewing/blogging break for part of July though, time to spend with the family and not have my brain thinking of what I should be sewing!!
Well, it is very hard to believe that another school year is pretty much over!! I feel like the last 2 months especially have gone by fast. This morning, I was making some cards for my kids teacher's. One for the English teacher, and 2 the same for the homeroom French teachers. All product is SU!, I'm loving the washi tape addition this year. So easy to work with and I really like the colors. Hope everyone is having a great Sunday!
I spent the morning in Bridgewater today at As Luck Would Have It and added a few more items to the inventory. Also rearranged a few things. Karen is having her Grand Opening for the shop on July 13th, so will have to get busy making a few "extras" for that day.
And the navy with the white trees is from the Glimma collection by Lotta Jansdotter. Loving that as will. There is something about linen that adds a beauty to all projects, I'm glad I added the linen to the pouches. I will be making a road trip to Bridgewater this week, adding this to the selection I have available at As Luck Would Have It.
You'll be seeing them again I'm sure, I have them in a gray/blue/green colorway as well. 
Just a simple seed stitch pattern, used size 6 circular needles with 85 stitches. I have a cream color on the same needles now, I think I'll make that one a bit wider....
Anyhow, that's it for now. Hopefully, will have more to share in the coming week!! Get ready for some rainy weather Halifax, lots of rain tomorrow, maybe I will occupy myself with some projects!
